Summon Golem Diablo 4 : To get the most out of Necromancer Diablo 4, you need to unlock Golem as soon as possible. We consider the Necromancer to be the best class in the game, mainly because of how he can summon up to seven different undead monsters to help him in battle, which also makes him a great choice for solo players. Add the effects of some powerful legendary and unique items and you can increase that number enough to control a veritable army of the undead with one of the best builds in the game.

How to Summon the Golem Diablo 4?

To summon your Golem in Diablo 4, you must have the ability actively assigned. In other words, if you replace the Golem ability in your active skill bar, the Golem will disappear. To assign the Golem once it is unlocked, you must first open your skill menu – S on the keyboard, or via the Start button on your controller. On PC, you will simply drag the Golem to the toolbar. On console, you will need to press the left stick while in the skill menu and assign it like any other ability.

How to Activate Your Golem in Diablo 4?

Diablo 4 doesn’t make it clear that the Golem has a unique ability. If this powerful ally is downed in combat, it will automatically regenerate after a set amount of time (instead of requiring a corpse to be summoned, as with Warriors and Mages), allowing the Golem to be dealt with passively. It will taunt all nearby enemies and take 30% less damage for the next six seconds, which is great for giving you some breathing room to heal.

How to Unlock Golem in Diablo 4?

Wondering how to summon your Golem in Diablo 4 as a Necromancer? The Golem isn’t available right from the start of the game, but you’ll unlock it once you reach level 25. That’s when you’ll receive a priority quest called “Necromancer: Call of the Underworld,” which will tell you that the Necromancer’s Book of the Dead is ready to receive the new summon.

It’s worth taking a detour into the campaign to pick up the Golem summon, as it’s a key part of our best Necromancer build. This powerful summon is capable of taking on all but the strongest enemies in Diablo 4, absorbing damage while your decrepit glass cannon deals out powerful bone and curse magic.

How to Start a Golem Quest?

It’s easy to get lost in the winter-covered wilderness. Don’t worry: this task has several key points to follow. Northwest of Kyovashad is the town of Menestad, which you may have already visited. A little further northwest from there you will find a shrine built in honor of the original necromancer Rathm on a hill. If you unlocked the quest, there should be a ghost of a man named Maltorius that you can talk to. Once you talk to him, he’ll send you on a little quest to build your own towering Golem.

How to Complete the Golem Quest?

Maltorius will ask you to collect some intact bones before continuing the quest. These will form the basis of your grotesque monstrosity. Fortunately, a horde of skeletons will spawn nearby from which you can raise this item – it shouldn’t take more than a minute or two.

From there, Maltorius will ask you to head southwest to a place called Bitter Cave. Inside, you’ll have to go through a small dungeon before you come across a pot of souls. It seems your golem needs a soul to animate. Touching the pot will trigger several waves of easy-to-eliminate enemies. Once done, speak to Maltorious one last time to unlock the powerful Bone Golem in the Necromancer’s Book of Dead, accessed from the character/ability menu.

The Bone Golem has two abilities to choose from:

Whenever your Bone Golem takes damage up to 20% of its maximum health, it will drop a corpse.
Your Bone Golem gains 10% maximum health and the thorns inherited from you are increased by 30%-50%.
You gain 10% increased attack speed, but lose the ability to summon a Golem
To unlock the Blood and Iron variants, you simply need to keep leveling up the Necromancer class.

And that’s all you need to know to unlock the Necromancer’s most powerful summon. For more information on the Necromancer, be sure to check out our best Necromancer builds. And if you feel like trying other classes, be sure to check out the Barbarian, Rogue, Wizard, and Druid guides. However, with a Golem in your arsenal, we don’t think you’ll want to jump to another class so quickly – the monstrosity is just powerful and fun.
